Matt started the company by affiliating with BBN (Business Brokers Network), the Nation's largest network of Business Brokers in an effort to bring national exposure to businesses available for sale in the state, as well as to attract buyers from across the nation to the businesses in Maine.
Matt has his BS in Economics & Finance from Bentley College, and his Masters Degree from the same institution. In his years since attaining his MBA, Matt has spent his time in a variety of accounting and finance positions, while also studying for his CPA. Among the positions held, he was moved into roles to oversee product pricing, create financial planning structures, analyze and forecast operational results.
Most recently he has held positions with UnumProvident, the nation's leading disability insurance provider as a relationship manager for the company's largest clients, bringing solutions to help with their disability and HR lost time management needs; and then as the marketing point person and Director of Operations to the field sales organization. He implemented programs to improve office sales growth, efficiency and profitability.
With this combination of education, experience, and ability to build strong relationships, bridge differences with creative solutions, and overcome barriers, he is uniquely qualified to represent buyers and sellers in valuing businesses and bringing them together to create a positive outcome for both.
