This business is an 8,600 s.f. indoor playground with things to do for young children in a conveniently located shopping center in an upscale CT Fairfield County community (Monroe, CT). Children from infants to +/- 5 year olds have a place to play, make believe and have fun with parents and other children.

This indoor play space is a great place to go when the weather is too hot or too cold or too rainy or snowy.
It is an ideal place to bring you child especially since the area here is suburban and houses are far apart on busy streets. It is also perfect for families living on streets where there aren’t same age children for their child to play with.

It was built “completely out of need” for moms, dads, grandparents, nannies & anyone who loves children. It is an alternative to daycare centers and places that have supervised structured programs for children (like kid’s gyms or other sports related centers etc.). Here the parent or guardian supervises and/or plays with their children right in the playground area.

Children enjoy pretend play in the charming child-sized Village Playspace featuring a Hobby Shop, School House, Mayor’s House, Market, Costume Shop, Roadway, Playground & Basketball Hoop. There are also theme classes and special events held to teach young children learning and social skills while having loads of fun.

The entire Village Playspace is contained (like a skating rink) so children are visible at all times. There are benches for parents to sit and relax. They also have a separate area for children 2 and under, a Café & several rooms for parties, classes and special events. You can even hold birthday parties here.

New service recently added - drop-off babysitting service. Perfect for those times when you really need someone to watch the kids, or you just need a break.

The business was started in 2005 with two partners. Business grew in 2006 & 2007. In January of 2008 one of the partners decided to leave the business because of family obligations and was bought out by the other partner. At the time it seemed like a good idea but soon the Owner began to feel the pressure of running a business and a family all by herself. The business stopped growing because the owner didn’t have the time or experience to do everything herself. In the latter half of the year the faltering economy worsened and volume dropped requiring an additional investment in the business. The Owner finally decided to sell the business to someone with the wherewithal to make the required cash & time investment.

The business operates with the Owner and a full-time manager. Part-timers are used as required. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday 9:30 to 5:00, Wednesday open to 7:00 and currently closed on Mondays. The business is located in a retail shopping center in 8,600 s.f. of space!. Ten months remain in the present lease with a 5 year option to renew.
