This full-service equestrian center has been catering to horse owners and enthusiasts since the mid- 90s. They currently offer full and self-service boarding options, with 71 enclosed stalls. Although boarding is their primary revenue source, the facility is also home to monthly horse shows and lessons put on by various trainers throughout each week. This operation has developed the reputation of providing high-quality service and caring attention at the lowest price available in the area. These factors have allowed the boarding operation to stay at capacity for more than three years. There are currently three full-time employees who handle all of the day-to-day responsibilities of the operation. There are also other individuals who work at the facility, including a horse show producer and three trainers, among others these individuals utilize the facility as their base of operations while the owner receives a percentage of their revenues or a flat fee. About the Business
Year Established:1995
Employees:6 full time - 3 part time
Facilities:The facilities sit on 46 acres of prime pasture. There are two main structures – a 40x80 ft. barn with 12 stalls and a 250x275 ft. covered arena that houses another 59 stalls, a 125x250 ft. main riding arena and a concession area. There are also three riding pens outside the covered area used for jumping, English riding and lessons.
Market Outlook and Competition:There are two other facilities in the area, but they all cater to a different clientele, so very rarely do the facilities compete for business. The biggest competitors would be horse owners building their own barns on their property. The area of Collin County where the facility is located has seen massive growth in the past five years and is still expanding with new residential and commercial developments still under construction or ready to break ground. More residents translate into more horses that need boarding services.
