The Company is a provider of fully integrated job-cost accounting and management software solutions to the construction industry servicing a niche in the specialty contracting segment. The Company is currently seeking a buyer for both the Microsoft Explorer browser-based and Windows software solutions developed by the Company. Located in southwest Ohio and having clients across the nation, the Company has distinguished itself in the construction software market with the delivery of a robust and comprehensive accounting and information management tool for contractors and construction related businesses. The product line is designed for contractors with annual sales $1M-$99M. The target audience for these products is estimated at over 400,000 specialty contractors. The solutions offered by the Company are unmatched by off-the-shelf software packages. The payroll processing system is one of the best in the industry, providing support for state income tax, local income tax support, union deductions/fringes, state unemployment, worker’s compensation, certified payrolls, and multi-level government reporting. Specialized item billing, estimating, order entry and inventory modules complement the core accounting applications. The Company’s legacy system has been in use since the 1980’s. Because of customer demands for a Windows-based and graphics-based system, the company developed a software suite written in Visual Basic. The first set of modules was released in 2001, with the product having more functionality than the legacy system and the ability to accommodate more users. In 2008, the company then began development of a browser-based software suite. The software is still under development and completed modules include job cost and item billing (AIA type billings by percentage or unit). The Payroll module is the next application to be completed in the near future. The Company’s products represent significant revenue potential for a buyer with strong marketing and sales resources. In addition, a capital infusion estimated at $300,000 should accelerate the date of completion for the Microsoft Explorer browser implementation. Currently, there are no comparable browser-based, fully integrated construction accounting software systems available for this market segment.
