The company explore and extract Lithothamnim Calcarium Minerals from the brazilian ocean. The main mine is 20 kilometers from the beach and the deepest point to extract the mineral is only 10 to 15 meters.
The territory of the mine authorized by the government is 1.000 hectares. It is a huge place which can explore for more than 80 years. The Company have the only licence for more 22 ocean areas in Brazil surrounding the main area.. All belong to this company.
The company is licenced and authorized by the brazilian government with no enviroment impact. Marine mioclasts -,Calcareous algae -, Marine bioclasts in Brazil are mainly formed by calcareous algae. Maerl and Lithothamnium are industrial terms used in France. They occur as unconsolidated sedimentary deposits, which are easily collected through dredging operations.
The calcareous algae are formed by calcium carbonate and magnesium contenting more than 20 oligoelements. This material has several applications in industry: soil conditioner for agriculture, potabilization of water, cosmetics, food diets, bone implants, animal nutrition and treatment of water in lakes. In fact, the extension of carbonatic sediments on the Brazilian continental shelf is the largest worldwide.
They continuously cover large areas of the medium and outer continental shelf. Nevertheless, these deposits remain unexploited for industrial use.
On the other hand, France with a relatively small continental shelf is the largest producer around the world in marine lithoclasts and bioclasts.
