The inn’s five duplex cabins (10 guest rooms made up of 5 studios & 5 suites) were built in 1986 on 6.5 heavily wooded & secluded acres along Strawberry Creek. The original property purchase included a spacious 3-bedroom residence (app 1822 sq ft built in 1951) & a horse barn. The current property is comprised of 3 parcels including over ¼ mile of beautiful creek, dramatically enhancing its value. There is ample parking for inn guests & vacation rental check-ins as well as a large meadow area & large deck for special functions & events.

Continuing improvements have been made to the marketing, furniture, furnishings, vehicles, grounds & residence. Occupancy averages have run from 50% to 62% since 2005 (better than industry averages), but the biggest enhancement to the revenue of the business has been the growth of the vacation rental business: grown from 9 vacation rental cabins in 2005 to over 45 under contract in 2008. The gross lodging revenue had increases from 19.75% to 31.2% every calendar year since 2005. Despite a challenging economic climate, revenue for 2008 is expected to be 10% over 2007.

All businesses are operated from the office at Quiet Creek Inn. The location is app 1 mile southwest of the village area of Idyllwild, less than a two-minute drive or 15-minute hike through the county campground. There is hiking on the property along Strawberry Creek & there are trails a block away, which lead to Nature Center Trails that connect to Deer Springs Trailhead from which one can hike in to the alpine high-country.
