The current owners began the business in 1981. Working at construction projects sparked an interest in waterproofing basements. Over the years the business became more lucrative so they bought a dealership in 1984 and incorporated in 1989.
The business expanded into some exterior work combined with interior work. This enabled the owners to give a better warranty and business expanded even more. Referrals are 70 to 75 percent of their business.
Even though they had few customer problems they decided to include service contracts, which was a preventative measure. The customers approved of the added features and this also added additional revenue to the business. From inception, the owners have completed approximately 1,000 jobs and have retained working relationships with about 75 percent of them.
