The Company quarries and sells sand and gravel for use in ready mix concrete and asphalt sold by customers in Mississippi. Concrete and asphalt are commodity products sold by manufacturers/contractors primarily based on price, which in turn is driven by the proximity of quality sand and gravel inputs. In 2007, The Company sold 320,000 tons of washed gravel (representing 75% of revenues); 76,000 tons of crushed gravel (20% of revenues); and 126,000 tons of sand (5% of revenues). Product is mined, crushed, and prepared at plants located on-site.
