The mission of Medmentum is to be a trusted supplier of regulated medical waste disposal services.
The mission of the Medmentum Franchise Company is to develop and expand in a sustainable and profitable growth that will allow Medmentum to reach new markets and to provide the highest level of training and support in the medical waste disposal industry.
The franchisor, is a Illinois Limited Liability Company dedicated to being the premier full service provider in the regulated medical waste removal industry. As a franchisee of Medmentum, the new partner will use the Franchisor's company brand name, implement the efficient operating system and business processes and facilitate the on-going support of the Medmentum outlets from the experience management team and home office staff.
With a growing demand for the use of its services, the founder of Medmentum, George Demet, decided to expand his successful business model to others across the Midwest, and soon thereafter, throughout the rest of the United States. Medmentum will achieve significant expansion through the implementation of a franchising model in the United States and by securing key business partners (in the form of franchisees) who will facilitate national growth.
Medmentum sets itself apart from the franchise industry via four main differences:
Lower Risk –
According to federal laws, the generator of medical waste (the hospital, clinic or lab) is legally responsible for its proper disposal. If your medical waste hauler makes a mistake or has an accident involving your RMW, it can mean a liability issue for you.
We have extensive pollution and liability insurance and we can add your organization as additionally named on our policies.
Since our processing facilities are located near our pickup routes, your waste is processed quickly and efficiently. If you are currently using a medical waste hauler, you should ask how the waste is transported and processed once it leaves your facility. If they are sending it to a transfer station then on a to a remote processing facility, you may be exposing your facility to unneeded risk.
Supplier Diversity –
Many federally funded and state funded healthcare institutions have a minimum supplier diversity fulfillment requirement. Many private organizations that deal with these units of government have them as well. Medmentum can help you satisfy these requirements and keep you compliant with management directives.
Medmentum is a self-certified WBE through the Federal Government Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) system. This certification is usually acceptable to all federal, state and municipal organizations but we would be happy to supply all necessary documentation per requirements.
Compliance Management –
Medmentum has developed an advanced online record-keeping system that helps you stay complaint with EPA and Joint Commission directives. We maintain scans of waste manifests available online for review and documentation for as long as legally required. This reduces your paperwork load and keeps your records available for review or auditing.
Our system also allows you to see the quantities processed for each pickup so you’ll have a complete accounting of your waste stream.

Bio Medical Waste
Medmentum is a licensed hauler and processor of regulated medical waste. Unlike many licensed haulers, we own and operate our own processing facilities and we’re able to provide you with a level of quality control, documentation, and cost efficiency that is impossible for haulers to provide.
Medmentum is founded on the principles that make any business successful: fill a void in the market better than anyone else. All of its staff members are OSHA compliant and follow the strict Medmentum system to help give the customer peace of mind as they decide to switch providers. This belief and focus, along with the strong leadership and vision, are what will make the franchisees of Medmentum efficient and profitable businesses. They will need to implant themselves into a new market and start chipping away at market share that is currently occupied by Stericycle or Waste Alliance.
The Medmentum franchise business will start out of a home office or a small professional office, the former allowing for a lower initial investment in the business to get a franchisee started. The overhead and initial start up costs will include a vehicle (Sprinter van or Box Truck), the franchise fee, and some initial working capital and marketing dollars to allow the franchisee to become profitable in as short of a time period as possible. The working capital will be very important in this model as a franchisee will need initial time to network, market, and close deals with clients.
