Cheri opened LOVjuice in July of 2013. LOVjuice stands for "living organic vegetable" juice. With a passionate commitment to the personal knowledge she accumulated when she experienced firsthand the heartbreak and helplessness you feel when someone you love is lost to obesity. "I lost my first husband in 2009 basically to overeating – to eating all the wrong things. He loved red meat, and all the highest fat content foods on a menu. His health started to decline over the years and he could barely walk. When he decided to finally go in for knee surgery, his heart couldn't take it. He died three days after the operation. To watch someone deteriorate like that when you know there is a better way... People used to ask me why I couldn't do anything. But you can't force someone to do something they don't want to do." Cheri's inspiration for LOVjuice grew out of the heartfelt desire to heal just one person.
Meanwhile, way up in New Hampshire, my life was about to take a major turn. The company for which my husband (Larry) had been working, for 25 years, was about to shut down his plant...big changes were coming! During that period, I was in constant communication with Cheri, assisting her with some of the administrative aspects of her juice bar. While my career as an Executive Assistant was thriving, and I was at the top of my game, I was never one to fear trying something new. So, after a few trips down to Vero Beach, and a little bit of "hands on", I decided to take the plunge and become an Organic Juice Bar Manager....the absolute best decision I have ever made!
I quickly fell in love with what Cheri had created, and am absolutely amazed with the vision she brought to life. That being said, not even six months into managing the business, Cheri's life took a major turn. Her husband took a position in New Mexico, which led her to the decision to sell LOVJuice. Luckily, and since I had become so attached to the staff, customers, and the product we were selling, she chose me!
These days you can find me and Larry, on any given morning, in the LOVJuice kitchen at 6:00am, happily juicing, mixing, and bottling Vero Beach's favorite Organic Juice combinations.
Although this is just the beginning of a brand new journey for me, I really do look at it as my "Happily ever after"! In other words...Wendi and LOVJuice are going to be around for a very long time, offering our health conscious customers a small slice of healthy!

Papa Ray's Pizza & Wings was established in 2009 by brothers John and George Rayyan. They first got into the pizza business in 2006 when they bought a collapsing pizzeria called Pinocchio's Pizza & Pub. John and George took over the pizza restaurant and turned it around. In 2008, a customer who was impressed with the business approached them with an offer that was too good to turn down. After careful consideration, they decided to sell their pizzeria.
Soon after, George and John decided they weren't done with the restaurant business. They have always had a passion for creating great recipes and serving them to their friends, family and customers. They opened their first Papa Ray's concept in 2009 and decided to create a scalable business model to get excited about. They used the name & quot;Ray& quot; in honor of their father who they both looked up to. The pizza industry has become John and George's obsession. When you join the Papa Ray's team as a franchise owner, you can expect the founders and owners of Papa Ray's to be with you every step of the way. They will offer support in a number of different areas:
You will be given an exclusive territory to develop your Papa Ray's franchise. Once your site is approved, you will have a protected area for your Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant. This area will have a minimum radius of 3 miles from other Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurants. The boundaries will be determined based on population density, existing competition and other relevant factors.
The initial fee for one franchise is $15,000. Minimal start-up costs can be as low as about $163,000 in cash, liquid assets, available financing, or a combination thereof. We make starting a Papa Ray's as easy as possible. We aggressively negotiate the lease with you to get the best pricing and actively help you to find the best prices on all the necessary equipment.
Unlike most franchises, Papa Ray's Pizza Franchise collects a weekly FLAT royalty fee, rather than a percentage of gross sales. We set up our franchise royalty structure this way to encourage franchisees to increase sales as much as possible without worrying about sharing a large percentage of it. For the 1st Quarter, the royalty fee is $100 per week. For the 2nd Quarter, it is $200 per week. For the 3rd Quarter, it is $400 per week. By the 4th quarter it is $500 per week. After the first year the $500 weekly royalty increase by only 5% annually. This approach means that Papa Ray's Pizza Franchisee only needs to verify that you follow the system, not review your business records in total.
The cost of advertising varies by location, based on a number of factors. Papa Ray's Pizza Franchise assists franchisees in developing a suggested budget determined by the prospective location's demographic. Advertising costs for franchisees are a minimum of $3,800 per month.
