Tom Forsythe is a business broker at Benchmark Business Group. Tom uses his deep financial advisory knowledge and extensive management experience to help business owners realize value through the sale of their business.

Tom has held various financial and leadership positions within businesses that range from small, family-owned to the C-Suite in Fortune 500 companies. Most recently Tom ran a financial advisory firm where he obtained FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Upon graduation from Michigan State University, Tom accepted a position on General Electric’s Financial Management Training Program. Throughout his tenure at GE, he held several financial management positions in a variety of GE companies. Tom also served as Vice President-Finance with Frigidaire, W.C. Bradley Company (CharBroil), and Poulan Weed Eater.

Tom is trained in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement disciplines, cross functional collaboration, long range planning, cost control, working capital management, accounting, financial planning and analysis, and joint venture formation.

Tom understands the many complications and financial implications of selling a business and helps business owners navigate through the sales process to achieve their goals.
