I’m a business broker dedicated to helping owners successfully transition out of the businesses they’ve worked hard to build, while connecting buyers with opportunities that create long-term value.
Before entering business brokerage, I spent over 30 years in corporate leadership, serving as a Vice President of Operations for a Fortune 100 company. In that role, I managed large-scale operations, oversaw billions in assets, and carried full P&L responsibility. That experience shaped how I approach every transaction today—with a strong focus on financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic positioning.
I understand that selling a business is more than a transaction—it’s often one of the most important financial and personal decisions an owner will ever make. My role is to guide that process with professionalism, confidentiality, and a clear strategy to maximize value while minimizing disruption.

He was a key asset while operating his family’s retail liquor stores, bars, and restaurants. MJ is a sixth generation Coloradan and a fourth generation small business owner. MJ interned with Business Brokerage Services while in college. After graduation, the partners offered MJ a full time position with the firm. MJ bought into the firm as a partner in 2021. In addition to working with Business Brokerage Services, MJ owns a successful consulting business that assists clients with specialty and liquor licenses for small business acquisitions. MJ graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and is a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker.
Michael is the Managing Partner of Business Brokerage Services. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, including managing the deals generated by other brokers from lead generation to closings. With his extensive experience as a business broker and as the owner and operator of multiple successful small businesses, Michael is well-versed in all aspects of small business ownership, operations, purchasing, and selling. Over the past twelve years, he has specifically worked as a business/commercial broker, successfully brokering over 500 businesses with a total value exceeding $200 million. In addition to his role at the brokerage firm, Michael's entrepreneurial spirit has led him to own and operate two ATM routes, two commercial cleaning businesses, a retail liquor store, and a hotel. In the past, he has also owned a restaurant/bar, liquor stores, a security business, and was a partner in a mortgage brokerage. Michael is married with three adult sons. Two of his sons have followed in his footsteps and joined Business Brokerage Services. MJ is Michael's partner, and Greg is a Registered Nurse, while also working part-time at the firm. Koby ventured out on his own and is managing a restoration company in northern Colorado. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his twin grandsons, traveling, and spending as much time at his mountain retreat in Westcliffe, CO. Michael's educational background includes studying at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and he is a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker.

Having been in the firearms and class III firearms business for over two decades means I am no stranger to the BATFE, and the maze of requirements and licenses for any prospective FFL dealer or range owner.
