MJ brings a vast amount of knowledge into the small business sector of business brokerage. MJ grew up and was baptized in small business. He was a key asset while operating his family’s retail liquor stores, bars, and restaurants. MJ is a sixth generation Coloradan and a fourth generation small business owner. MJ interned with Business Brokerage Services while in college. After graduation, the partners offered MJ a full time position with the firm. MJ bought into the firm as a partner in 2021. In addition to working with Business Brokerage Services, MJ owns a successful consulting business that assists clients with specialty and liquor licenses for small business acquisitions. MJ graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and is a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker.

With over 20 + years experience in the firearms industry, Jim brings a fresh perspective on the ever-changing retail market, from next-generation marketing, to increasing sales and customer traffic. Having been in the class III firearms business for over two decades means he is no stranger to the BATFE, and the maze of requirements and licenses for any prospective FFL dealer or range owner. Boasting an impressive twenty plus year career in the business side of firearms sales and instruction, he brings a trove of experience when dealing with complicated situations and an extremely high level of commitment and attention to detail. In joining BBS, he adds his unique experience to over two decades of hands-on experience as entrepreneurs. Facilitating the successful brokerage of multiple businesses each year, he provides unparalleled proficiency across all facets of small business transactions. He possesses a deep understanding of real estate dynamics, further enhancing their comprehensive skill set in the realm of business sales. Alex Grivas, an Associate Broker at Business Brokerage Services, draws from a rich heritage of small business ownership and financial expertise. With a comprehensive understanding of diverse business sectors, from restaurants and retail to service industries, Alex offers a wealth of reputable knowledge and skill to his clientele. His expertise extends to adeptly dissecting clients' financials and property information to establish realistic price ranges, ensuring optimal outcomes for his clients.

Michael is the Managing Partner of Business Brokerage Services. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, including managing the deals generated by other brokers from lead generation to closings. With his extensive experience as a business broker and as the owner and operator of multiple successful small businesses, Michael is well-versed in all aspects of small business ownership, operations, purchasing, and selling. Over the past twelve years, he has specifically worked as a business/commercial broker, successfully brokering over 500 businesses with a total value exceeding $200 million. In addition to his role at the brokerage firm, Michael's entrepreneurial spirit has led him to own and operate two ATM routes, two commercial cleaning businesses, a retail liquor store, and a hotel. In the past, he has also owned a restaurant/bar, liquor stores, a security business, and was a partner in a mortgage brokerage. Michael is married with three adult sons. Two of his sons have followed in his footsteps and joined Business Brokerage Services. MJ is Michael's partner, and Greg is a Registered Nurse, while also working part-time at the firm. Koby ventured out on his own and is managing a restoration company in northern Colorado. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his twin grandsons, traveling, and spending as much time at his mountain retreat in Westcliffe, CO. Michael's educational background includes studying at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and he is a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker.
