About the Company
East Coast Business Brokers was founded by Henry Galasso, who started the company from the ground up in 2000. What began as a single broker's vision has grown into a strong, seasoned team of experienced business brokers — a number of them licensed real estate agents — representing buyers and sellers across New York, Long Island, the tri-state area, and Florida.
The firm is known for handling everything from M&A deals to Main Street deals, with a particular strength in retail, food service, franchise, and commercial-property transactions. From delicatessens, bagel shops, and pizzerias to bars, nightclubs, dry cleaners, car washes, laundromats, and wholesale distribution companies — if it's a business worth selling, we know how to bring it to market.
Our goal is simple: create a successful outcome for every client. Whether you've spent years building a business or you're taking the leap to buy one, this is one of the most important transactions you'll ever make — and we're here to guide you through every step, available seven days a week.

Anthony Mesi is a Business Broker and Advisor at East Coast Business Brokers (ECBB), specializing in the confidential sale, acquisition, and valuation of small to mid-market businesses throughout New York and Florida. He is committed to helping sellers maximize value while guiding buyers toward strong, strategic opportunities.
Selling a business is one of the most significant financial decisions a business owner will ever make. Whether you're preparing for retirement, pursuing a new opportunity, or simply exploring your options, the process can feel overwhelming. My role is to simplify that process, provide clear guidance, and help you make informed decisions with confidence. As a Business Broker with East Coast Business Brokers, I work with business owners throughout Long Island to confidentially market and sell privately held businesses. While every transaction is different, my philosophy remains the same: listen first, communicate clearly, and build a strategy that aligns with each client's goals. Before entering business brokerage, I spent more than two decades in finance and business advisory roles, the lion's share with Ernst & Young. Those experiences gave me a strong foundation in financial analysis, business operations, strategic planning, and helping people navigate complex decisions. I also earned a graduate degree from Northwestern University, where I further developed the analytical and communication skills that continue to guide my work today. One lesson I've learned throughout my career is that expertise means very little if it can't be explained clearly. Business owners shouldn't need a background in finance to understand the decisions they're making. I believe one of my greatest strengths is translating complicated financial and business concepts into straightforward, practical conversations that help clients feel informed rather than overwhelmed. Whether I'm speaking with a first-time buyer or a business owner who has spent decades building a successful company, I believe every client deserves honesty, responsiveness, and thoughtful advice. Selling a business is rarely just a financial transaction—it's often the culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, and personal investment. That deserves careful attention and respect. I primarily work with Main Street businesses throughout Long Island across a wide variety of industries. Every business has its own story, and every owner has different goals. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I take the time to understand what matters most to each client and develop a strategy designed around those objectives. Whether you're ready to bring your business to market today or you're simply curious about its value and your options for the future, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation. Even if selling isn't the right decision today, understanding your options is often the first step toward making the right decision when the time comes. My goal is simple: to provide the knowledge, communication, and guidance needed to help business owners make one of the most important decisions of their lives with confidence.
