With over 25 yrs in business management consulting and M&A transactions, Jay Shrewder co-founded Global Business Brokers, LLC, a business intermediary firm in KS and OK. Shrewder started Pinnacle Capital Partners, LLC, a corporate communications firm located in Tulsa, Oklahoma 15yrs ago in response to lower middle market companies growing concerns to capital access, management and communications resources generating over $10 million during that period.
As a White House appointee in both the Reagan and Bush Administrations, Shrewder oversaw communications for the U.S. Department of the Interior, managing issues like the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill and the Endangered Species Act. While at the U.S. Small Business Administration, he leveraged over $20 million in public/private partnership funding from companies like AT&T, Federal Express, Arthur Andersen and Pacific Bell for small business training and development.
Shrewder has served on OK State Board of Medical Examiners appointed by Governor Frank Keating of Oklahoma, the Tulsa Economic Development Corporation, the Tulsa County Bar Association Fee Arbitration Board and Entrepreneurs of Tulsa and also active in the Tulsa Zoo and 12 & 12 non-profit organizations. Mr. Shrewder is also a zealous advocate for both Trout Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited.
Mr. Shrewder is a “fourth generation” Tulsan married to the former Susan Mobley with whom he has three children. After graduating from Cascia Hall Preparatory High School, he attended Southern Methodist University and was graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in Political Science and History. He completed his Masters coursework in Government Affairs at The American University in Washington, D.C.
