About the Company
Terry Espy’s career in real estate development and brokerage, as well as business brokerage, spans more than thirty years and now involved in some of the most innovative, progressive projects in North Carolina. She coordinated the development of the commercial component of South Front District in Downtown Wilmington, NC in the revitalization of that area. As part of the effort, she secured famed eastern North Carolina chef, Vivian Howard, as a restaurant tenant in South Front. Having brokered over 50 restaurants in the Wilmington area over the last 5 years, she has made her mark regarding her efforts to help Wilmington become a “food destination”. During the COVID restrictions in 2020 she spearheaded the “Downtown Alive” initiative which enabled 32 Downtown restaurants to expand outdoors through the sidewalk, into the parking spaces, allowing pedestrians to ability walk along the closed streets safely. Throughout Downtown Wilmington, she has coordinated the sale and/or lease of numerous historic properties for upper-level tech and business service companies, strengthening the zoning mix to support retail and restaurants.

Monica has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and capital markets within Latin America and the U.S. She has expertise in investment sourcing & property disposition, capital raising & marketing, as well as real estate advisory for individual and institutional investors. Monica has a Master’s degree in Finance, holds NC Real Estate license and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses.
Kirk grew up in Emerald Isle, North Carolina, and moved to Wilmington in 2010 to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he developed a strong foundation in business and entrepreneurship. After successfully selling his own business through Momentum Companies, he was so impressed with the process that he decided to join Terry, Kennan, and the team. His firsthand experience as both a business owner and a client gives him a unique and empathetic perspective when assisting other entrepreneurs through the buying and selling process. In his free time, Kirk enjoys playing golf and spending quality time with his wife, Emma, and their three dogs. He is passionate about helping clients navigate the often complex business sale process with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.
I've been in the business world in marketing/sales/real estate for 30 years+. I started my career in New York in advertising with A&E Networks and CBS Radio. I've been in the Wilmington area for 22 years working in real estate for 11 years. Integrity and honesty are my highest values, I have many long time clients because I educate and advise people about the market.
