NGU Business Real Estate, LLC is a family-owned residential and commercial brokerage. Our primary focus is small to mid-sized businesses in and around the NYC area. We help existing business owners sell their businesses and prospective buyers find a business that fits their needs.
In 2010, Mary started out as a real estate salesperson for ReMax. She realized very quickly that her clients came to her for help selling not only their homes, but their small businesses. Many successful small business owners are great operators but need assistance finding able and willing buyers for their businesses. Mary had owned and operated three small businesses herself, so she knew how to help. In 2013, Mary earned her broker license and NGU was formed, with Edward assisting from time to time behind the scenes with operations, administration and marketing.
Since then, NGU has worked with hundreds of small businesses, helping owners find the right buyers to successfully take over their operations. We’ve listed dry cleaners, laundromats, commercial laundries, and hospitality linen services, as well as beauty salons, restaurants, delis, and grocers.
Edward has now joined Mary so they can work together, bringing their combined experience in finance, international relations, consulting, and real estate to help business owners sell to the right buyer. NGU stands for “Never Give Up” — and that’s the motto we live by. We work with integrity, transparency, persistence, and try to give our best to our clients.
Edward holds a finance degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He previously worked in investment banking and Fortune 500 management consulting, where he focused on improving business operations and modernizing technology.
He began trading stocks in high school — his first purchase was Google — and now follows macroeconomic trends and quantitative strategies. He has built and owns three ventures: an AI customer analytics platform that analyzes complaints, surveys, and call transcripts to surface organizational pain points; a professional job board that lets candidates present themselves beyond a resume; and a CRM platform for beauty salon booking and discovery. A tennis enthusiast and singer, Edward values long client relationships and learning how each business really works.
