Ronald Schlegel joined Stony Hill Advisors in 2024, with over 25 years of hands-on leadership positions in both family-owned enterprises and corporate business units.

Ronald holds an MBA from Villanova University, where he was honored with the prestigious Bartley Medallion award as well as a Masters of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a BS in Industrial Engineering from The College of New Jersey. Complementing his academic credentials, Ronald has received extensive formal and applied education in LEAN/Six Sigma Leadership, underpinning his expertise in enterprise transformational change.

In the M&A market, Ronald provides guidance to startups, small-to-medium sized businesses, and family-owned enterprises in navigating complex challenges related to valuation, workplace culture, risk mitigation, and exit strategies. Leveraging a wealth of experience across diverse industries, Ronald has honed a strategic mindset and a data-driven approach that consistently delivers tangible results for businesses.

Throughout his tenure at various levels of responsibility including CEO, COO, and VP of Operations/Engineering, Ronald played an instrumental role in propelling value creation by instituting robust business process systems and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. During this time, he managed foreign exchange groups, pioneered cross-border debt products, and started commodity businesses from the ground up. He gained valuable experience in navigating mergers, management, technology, and operations, understanding the importance of considering all these disciplines as part of a comprehensive banking service. Mark established offices outside the United States, showcasing his ability to adapt and succeed in a global context. After his successful career in banking and capital markets, Mark Anthony Gargano decided to join Bannockburn Global Forex as a Managing Partner in a sales role for the Southeast region. This transition presented new challenges, as he had to engage in direct sales without an established brand, targeting small to mid-sized privately held companies. Through this experience, Mark gained an appreciation for risk tolerance, the impact of businesses on the community, and the dedication of entrepreneurs who put their time, business, and capital on the line. Mark managed the Southeast territory with diligence and perseverance, ultimately as part of a 27 Partner Group leading the privately held company to go public in 2019.
