Grew up and attend college in Minnesota. Worked for a dozen years or so after college mainly in the construction industry before deciding on a whim (really it was my wife's idea) to move to Alaska. Stuffed everything we could fit into a 6X12 travel trailer (the kids were NOT stuffed into the trailer) and moved to Anchorage without a job, without knowing a soul in the state and without ever even visiting Alaska. Fell in love immediately with everything Alaska has to offer. Took a couple of jobs working for corporate America before deciding enough is enough and started the first of a handful of companies I would later sell. The last business sold I employed the help of Transworld Business Advisors and was so extremely impressed with their professionalism, confidentiality and dedication that I began working for them shortly thereafter. I truly enjoy this work as I learn new things daily meeting wonderful and unique business owners across the state. After having been in business for myself and going through multiple exits, I have transitioned to help business owners grow, position, and successfully sell their companies. With 20+ years of experience as an entrepreneur and advisor, I bring hands-on insight and a strong track record in scaling and exiting owner-operated businesses, particularly in the home services, fitness/wellness and technology sectors. I played baseball at the University of Washington and am finishing an MBA at UMass Amherst. I currently sit on the Board of Trustees for the University of Washington Alumni Association.
