Introduction

Michael was born and raised in Annapolis, MD. During his high school years he was elected to Treasurer of his Senior Class, played on the basketball and football teams, and excelled in academics. After graduating from Annapolis High School he attended the University of Maryland, College Park campus. There he received his Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Marketing and Business Administration.

The allure of sun, sand, and surf attracted Michael to move to Fort Lauderdale right after graduating college. There he worked in the telecom industry with Fortune 500 companies including BellSouth, AT&T, and MCI over a 23 year career. Years ago he reengineered his career into owning 2 Franchises along with his wife. Currently he is working with TransWorld Business Brokers as a Business/Franchise Broker. He and his wife, Lauren, owned a Huntington Learning Center for 4 1/2 years.

Family has always been important to Michael. Lauren and Michael have 2 sons, Sean recently graduated from FSU and Alex is gainfully employed in the Hospitality Industry, with stepson Ryan graduating from Johns Hopkins University and Yale Univ. and now in Michigan , and stepdaughter Ashley. Michael was coach of his sons baseball and basketball teams; was the President, coach, and player of the Tamarac Men’s Basketball League; member of the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce; on the Ambassadors Committee and Education Committee of the Coral Springs Chamber; and strong participant in several Business Partners in Education school committees. He is currently an active member of the Broward SCORE Chapter in Fort Lauderdale and provides seminars on business /franchise ownership.
