Introduction
Robert is a Certified Restaurant Broker® in Tampa Bay with more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry. He is also holds a Florida real estate license. Originally from New York, he moved to Florida in 2004 with his wife and two sons.
He started his career as a dishwasher and worked his way up, eventually holding top roles in some of New York City’s finest restaurants. He served as the tournant at The Jockey Club inside NYC’s Ritz Carlton, the Executive Sous Chef at Tavern on the Green, and the Executive Chef at the world-famous Guggenheim Museum.
Robert later set his sights on restaurant ownership, gaining experience in every role—from busboy to bartender to manager. He helped launch new restaurants and eventually opened his own, growing it from $300,000 to over $1 million in annual sales. He grew his enterprise to multiple locations.
After a decade as an owner, Robert decided to sell and turned to We Sell Restaurants. Impressed by the process, he joined the team to help other owners buy and sell with confidence. Now, as a Certified Restaurant Broker®, he applies his industry expertise to guide clients through one of the most important decisions of their careers.

Torrey earned his degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he met his wife. Outside of work, Torrey is dedicated to giving back to the community, whether feeding the homeless or exploring Tampa’s vibrant food scene with his family.
