Why Blo Blow Dry Bar?
The Blo Blow Dry Bar concept was created in 2007 when two Canadian women had a revolutionary idea to provide all women with runway-ready hair at an affordable price. That brilliant idea quickly turned into three Blo locations in Vancouver and just like that, a new category of hair salons was born.
In 2009, Vanessa and Ari Yakobson, Paul Spindler and a group of investors acquired Blo Blow Dry Bar. The team already had experience opening and operating a successful children’s hair salon franchise and immediately recognized the great potential of the blow dry bar concept.
Over the next few years, the team put their passion and expertise to work, propelling the Blo brand to new heights. They re-launched Blo as a franchise system, created a strategic business model and began recruiting a stellar team of Franchise Owners who believed in the power of the blow out. After opening several more successful locations in Canada, Blo expanded to the U.S. in 2010.
The Blo Blow Dry Bar franchise has over 160 locations. We take great pride in being the original blow dry bar and take our role as the industry’s innovator seriously. Our creativity and passion have led us to become the world’s largest blow dry bar franchise.
