Tom Jenkins is an Accredited Business Intermediary (ABI) and a Membership Committee Member of the IBBA. Tom's passion to help other business owners buy, sell, and protect their businesses stems from his 30 years of business ownership.
As an entrepreneur, Tom has enjoyed the successes and weathered the hardships changing markets and life events bring to business owners.
He learned the extreme importance of having an exit plan in place when a family member unexpectedly became seriously ill. Tom's business was thriving and growing at the time, and he needed to remove himself from day-to-day operations quickly in order to care for his family member. Because he did not have an exit plan in place, the process took valuable time away from both his business and his family while he worked to make a smart plan.
Due to his years of business experience, Tom was able to develop a profitable exit strategy and tend to his family member's needs. However, other business owners in similar situations, Tom learned, did not fair as well.
