David Conrad was born and raised in Greensboro, NC, and grew up in a family business founded by his parents - Libby Hill Seafood Restaurants. He attended East Carolina University and graduated with a BA in Business Administration. Upon graduation, David went to work in the family business and enjoyed many successful years directing the company's operations. He left the business in 1993, and went into business brokerage, becoming an agent for VR business brokerage in Greensboro, NC. Soon he rose to the top, becoming Broker-In-Charge, and receiving VR's highest award - the Diamond award - for the highest sales volume in VR's entire franchise.

In early 2002, David went out on his own, and founded Triad Business Brokerage, in Greensboro. Within one year, TBB was the number one business brokerage in the area. In 2004, David was approached by a friend, and sold Triad Business Brokerage to him. In 2005, David moved full-time to his vacation home near Boone, NC, and opened a new business brokerage - Blue Ridge Business Brokerage, as well as a commercial real estate division — Blue Ridge Commercial Real Estate - to serve the High Country Area. 2006, our first full year in business, was a great one for us …. we sold twelve businesses, of course averaging one per month! After eight years in business, we are still averaging one business closing a month!
