Drew Hetherington

Introduction

Drew Hetherington is a Commercial Agent based out of Ocala, Florida, famously known as the Horse Capital of the World and home to the World Equestrian Center. With a productive twenty-year career in the Energy Industry, Drew gained an advanced understanding of contract negotiations, land and asset transfers, mergers and acquisitions, project management, municipal planning and permitting and was a celebrated and respected natural leader developing and mentoring countless direct and indirect reports. As such, Drew has a close, well connected and large network of professionals across the United States and internationally.

As a Commercial Agent under the brokerage of eXp Commercial, Drew not only specializes in the regional Florida market, but also across the country due to his boots on the ground experience across several regions, with several network groups spread across North America.

Born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, Drew continued his family tradition by being a 4th generation graduate of the University of Oklahoma, with a life changing study abroad semester in Linkoping, Sweden. After graduating university, Denver, Colorado became his home for the next 15 years. Prior to settling in Florida, he ran his own oil company in the Evansville, Indiana area which he called home for two years.

As a Florida resident living down the road from the theme park capital of the world, Drew and his 10-year-old son have fun learning and bonding together by filming, editing and creating video content on YouTube of them riding and discussing roller coasters, attractions and all things related to the amazing amusement parks Orlando and Tampa have to offer. When they're not riding roller coasters, working or going to school, the father and son combo enjoy playing with their rescue dog Carmen Sandiego.

Influenced throughout his youth by his grandparents, parents and siblings, Drew has always put those he works with in front of himself. His maternal grandfather, Homer Rice, is a legend (still alive at 96) in the football and collegiate athletic world. In addition to his celebrated coaching career, he built his lasting legacy for saving the Georgia Tech athletic program when taking over in 1980 for what would be a storied two decades of athletic success for the program. But he's most proud of the leadership program he developed, taught and spread throughout the NCAA institutions. His paternal grandfather, William Clark Hetherington, retired as the Vice President of Polo Operations at West Palm Beach Polo & Golf Club in Wellington, FL and is known as the father of Polo officiating, facilitating consistent rules to standardize the officiating of polo matches. Both were proud WWII veterans and instilled the values, ethics and leadership qualities which left a lasting impression on Drew. Those qualities of which Drew uses as his standard of excellence in which he commits to live by each and every day.
