Introduction

Janae Chamblee is the founder and co-owner of First Business Resources, Inc.* Thirty-34 years of acquisition, disposition, financial advisory, and executive operating experience for both private and publicly held companies provide the business platform from which she serves her clients.
 
Transferring business ownership is a most complex process and she provides hands-on guidance to navigate her clients through the intricacies of each phase of the business transaction. She utilizes innovative business solutions, creative deal structures, and effective negotiations to assist her clients in the achievement of their goals and objectives.
 
Ms. Chamblee is a Fellow of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) with the designation of Lifetime Certified Business Intermediary (Lifetime CBI). Ms. Chamblee is a Board Certified Broker and she holds a Texas Real Estate Broker License. Ms. Chamblee received her B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1980 and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
 
As an accountant for Price Waterhouse LLP, her clients included manufacturing, distribution, and service companies. She was Operations Manager and Controller for three family-owned Dallas based companies whereby she managed the operating and accounting functions, participated in sales and marketing activities, and played a key role in new business venture expansions.

Ms. Chamblee has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1984 and is an active member of TXCPA Dallas and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). Ms. Chamblee served as a Director of the TXCPA for 18 consecutive years (2004-2022). Recently (2017-2022) and previously (2004-2007), Ms. Chamblee served as a Director of TXCPA Dallas. Ms. Chamblee served as Treasurer of TXCPA Dallas for fiscal year 2019-2020 and as Past Treasurer for TXCPA Dallas for fiscal years 2019-2022. From 2006-2012, Ms. Chamblee served as a Trustee of the TXCPA Insurance Trust. During 2002-2004, Ms. Chamblee served two terms as the Chairperson of the Relations with Other Professional Organizations Committee for TXCPA Dallas. In May 2003, the TXCPA Dallas awarded Ms. Chamblee the “Newcomer of the Year Award” for her outstanding contributions to the Relations with Other Professional Organizations Committee. In May 2004, TXCPA Dallas awarded Ms. Chamblee the “Outstanding Committee Chairperson Award”.

In January 2021, TXCPA Dallas awarded Ms. Chamblee a “Special Chairman’s Award” for outstanding leadership and meritorious contribution to TXCPA Dallas. In January 2022, TXCPA Dallas awarded Ms. Chamblee a “Special Chairman’s Award” for her unwavering commitment and selfless service.
 
Ms. Chamblee is an active member of several other professional organizations, including the International Business Brokers Association.
 
Ms. Chamblee has served several privately held companies as a valued consultant and speaks on disposition and acquisition topics.
