About the Company
After 20 years, I/We are the longest and largest business broker in Hawaii. My team and I service the entire State of Hawaii. Long-time member of IBBA & M& A Source (largest national Business Broker and M & A services). I am a 87-year resident of the State of Hawaii, not just a mainland broker looking for or marketing a Hawaii business listing. I have the ability to show your business to prospective buyers on an "as needed" basis. Previously a 25-year commercial banker with the two largest banks in Hawaii. Currently I have close contacts at all of the principal banks in Hawaii (former associates of mine) and the largest SBA oriented bank to assist buyer with their loan request. I am also a licensed commercial real estate broker. As such, I am legally allowed to handle lease negotiations between landlords and prospective business buyers and fully serve the needs of both buyers and sellers with businesses located on commercial property.

Introduction
I am a 57-year resident of Hawaii, having lived on Oahu (Honolulu), Maui and currently on Kauai. I have also closed business sales on the Big Island. I know the entire state very, very well. I am a professional. I have 30+ years as an Officer/Vice President at Bank of Hawaii and First Hawaiian Bank in commercial banking. And while prior banking competitors, I knew/know my counter-parts at Central Pacific, First Hawaiian Bank and American Savings Bank on a first name basis. While I have been doing M&A / Business Brokerage for only the last 18 years, I have a deep knowledge of commercial lending. I offer this knowledge to all my business buyers and, with my Seller’s approval, actively assist them in their business purchase financing process. For business buyers who think they might need SBA financing support, I have known the past two State of Hawaii SBA Directors and a prior Chief Underwriter for Hawaii on a first name basis. If you visit my office, you will see the nine trophies and 10+/- certificates presented to me for my SBA loan production and assistance to the local business community.
I have been and remain very active in my community. Early community work included the Jaycees and the Punahou Alumni Board of Directors, then Rotary (formerly President and Asst. District Governor), and then on to the Finance Committee/Treasurer/Board of Director positions with the local hospital, the local Contractor Association, my church, my children’s private school, my local and state Board of Realtors organization (as Treasurer), the Kauai United Way and its budget/allocation committee… My most significant community activity was my “founding” of the $160 million+ revenue Kauai Island Utility Cooperative on which I remain as a board member and Chair of the Strategic Planning committee.
I am well educated, having attended and graduated from Punahou School (President Obama’s school), Dartmouth College (an Ivy League school) and the University of Hawaii Shideler Graduate School of Business where I earned my MBA. As a licensed Real Estate Commercial Broker, I attend continuing education classes and as an IBBA and M & A member, I attend many of the annual business broker / M & A conferences and class-room sessions provided at these conventions.
I understand business brokerage, having been one for the past 18+ years. I also purchased my brokerage business from a former business broker so I can empathize with the issues & fears facing prospective business buyers.
And I have a personal life. I sing in two choirs, run/lift/spin, garden at my mountain cabin and am constantly reading. And I am married:)
