Introduction
Todd Barry is the Owner and President of Transworld Business Advisors of Ann Arbor – Detroit Metro, the local arm of the world’s leading network specializing in the confidential marketing and sale of businesses and franchises. Todd helps business owners successfully exit their companies while maximizing value and protecting the legacy they’ve worked years to build.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University, an emphasis in Accounting and Finance, and a Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) designation, Todd brings a strong financial and analytical foundation to every transaction. His background spans entrepreneurship, middle-market companies, and Fortune 200 organizations, including hands-on experience in M&A transactions and integrations exceeding $1B.
Before founding Transworld of Ann Arbor – Detroit Metro, Todd owned and operated a 13-employee company and later led Accounting, M&A, and Cost functions for organizations ranging from a Fortune 200 company, Tier 1 automotive suppliers, to deeply rooted local businesses. This combination allows him to understand both the emotional and financial realities of selling a business — from an owner’s perspective and a buyer’s.
Todd now focuses full-time on helping business owners navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives. In the Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit markets, there is a clear need for professional, highly skilled business transition advisors who can deliver confidentiality, structure, and results. Todd is committed to guiding owners through a smooth transition that honors their vision, employees, and customers.
Outside of work, Todd enjoys time with his wife, Claire, and their three young children. He coaches youth hockey, bikes, and takes full advantage of Michigan’s incredible lakes and waterways.
