Business Description
The Wine Line offers California's most unique wine tasting tour experience, serving the Paso Robles region for 17 years with an innovative Semi-Private "hop on, hop off" model (now modified per industry reservations required standards), as well as, fully Private Tours. This turnkey operation has built a loyal customer base with hundreds of 5-star reviews and repeat clients, including one couple who has toured 20 times.

Business Model:
Two distinct service offerings maximize market reach:
- Semi-Private Tours: Modified "hop-on, hop-off" service where customers share transportation but maintain individual itineraries among 90+ partner wineries
- Private Tours: Dedicated vehicle and driver for full-day exclusive service

Three pricing tiers accommodate different budgets: à la carte, with lunch, and All-Inclusive packages. The All-Inclusive option includes lunch and tasting fees at up to 4 select wineries for an additional $80 per person.

Operations:
Door-to-door service covers Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, and surrounding areas. The business coordinates all winery appointments and provides introductions to staff. Standard tours run 10:30 AM to 4:00-5:00 PM with flexible timing for private tours. Services extend to specialized tours including Hearst Castle combinations, brewery tours, and sightseeing.

Competitive Advantage:
The Wine Line is the only operator offering semi-private tours in the region. While competitors provide either shared public tours or expensive private options, this business fills the market gap with a unique hybrid model offering freedom and flexibility at competitive pricing. Also, customized and scheduled itineraries at no additional cost, and pickup/return in far out cities for a group based location charge (not per person) where many competitors do not offer pickup.

Financials:
Asking price: $75,000 OBO with seller financing available (3-5 years at 6% after down payment)

Growth Opportunities:
- Enhanced custom experiences
- Airport transportation services
- Expansion to other wine regions (previously operated in Santa Barbara)
- Potential licensing model for other markets
- Increased hotel partnerships

Support Included:
Negotiable training covering operations, scheduling, logistics, and introductions to existing winery and hotel relationships plus established customer base.

This home-based business offers an ideal opportunity for an owner-operator couple or partners seeking a lifestyle business with proven revenue streams in California's thriving wine tourism market.

Market Outlook / Competition
The Wine Line is the singular, most unique wine tour in Paso, and any other region. Originally conceived and operated as a "hop on, hop off" tour until the COVID shutdowns during which wineries changed to appts. required. Now operating as a "modified" model which still offers the most Freedom & Flexibility of any tour. We have a very solid and loyal base of repeat customers (one couple has been with us 20 times!). There are a handful of other tour companies, but none offer our Semi-Private model; only either Public (shared & predetermined) or Private.
Opportunities for Growth
Many opportunities for growth such as customized "enhanced" experiences, airport transportation (particularly very early Sunday mornings), model is easily adaptable to other regions (previously operated in Santa Barbara, researched Temecula, reviewed Napa & Sonoma) and have thoughts for a licensing plan for them. Owner/operator couple or partners would be best served to purchase this business for more hands on approach, and outreach to hotels, etc., would increase market share.
