Established local promotional products/ logo'd apparel business for sale. Enjoyable business with numerous long-time customers. We have many local customers throughout Lake County/suburban Chicago and southeast Wisconsin, plus military accounts and other businesses in other parts of the country. After 35 years, the founder/owner is looking to retire, but would like to stay with the company to train new owners (if needed), ensure a smooth transition for clients, and continue to do sales for the new owner/work with clients. I don't necessarily want out of the business, but it's time for someone else to run the business and to build something for themselves and their family.
The company has mostly been a one-person business, but there is an opportunity to bring on employees/salespeople, expand on-line selling opportunities and expand into other market opportunities if you wish to grow the business to a larger scale locally or nationally. The company would also work well as a family business. We currently belong to three active local Chambers of Commerce and are well known in the communities we serve and the industry associations we belong to. Through our affiliations, we are able to attend large trade shows throughout the country, including Las Vegas and Chicago. We attend several smaller trade shows; plus we participate in one of the premier end-user shows in the nation in suburban Chicago.
The current owner is willing, and would like, to stay and train the new owner (only if needed and desired) about the industry, on skills including selling to and dealing with clients, requesting payments and referrals, following up on orders, and making sure the customer is properly taken care of. The current owner is known for these skills and has won awards for them. Current owner is past member of the Executive Board of Directors of the local promotional products association.
