Business Description
Apricity Vineyard is rooted in a passion for crafting clean, natural, and terroir-driven wines from responsibly farmed grapes. Nestled in Southern Oregon’s scenic Applegate Valley, the vineyard’s small scale allows for hands-on care and ecologically sound farming. Once a horse farm, the property was transformed into a vineyard in 2014 and purchased by the current owners in 2016. Since then, they have nurtured its health using ecological principles and a holistic approach. Runner ducks and chickens roam freely, controlling pests and naturally fertilizing the vines.

The vineyard is farmed 100% chemical-free—no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides. Their methods include diverse natural cover crops that enrich the soil and support beneficial insect life, mechanical cultivation to manage weeds and aerate the soil, and foliar nutrition to stimulate natural plant resistance. Soil health is supported by composting, trace mineral amendments, and practices that enhance microbial life and root vitality. From microbiology to bottle, their goal has been to grow the highest quality grapes in harmony with nature.

The tasting room, opened in 2019, is a converted horse barn reimagined with sustainability at its core. Upcycled barn wood, bricks, and family heirlooms create a warm, personal space. A hempcrete learning wall adds a forward-thinking, interactive element. Every item—furniture, décor, even the ceiling—has a story, grounding the space in authenticity and care. Guests are invited to enjoy estate wines beside the fireplace or take in views of the vineyard from every window, surrounded by a sense of connection and comfort.

Laloni Cook and Noah Lowry, the owners, bring a shared dedication to natural farming and hospitality. Laloni, with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, oversees the tasting room with warmth and intention. Noah, with a background in farming and ranching, manages the vineyard with care and experience. Together, they have shaped Apricity into a place that blends community, sustainability, and wine. Recently, a rare athletic opportunity for their son on the East Coast has led them to seek a new steward to continue the work and vision they’ve cultivated.

Winemaking at Apricity is led by Linda Donovan of Pallet Wine Company, a respected figure in Southern Oregon viticulture. A UC Davis-trained winemaker with experience in Napa, Sonoma, and Western Australia, Linda helped pioneer the Rogue Valley’s potential, planting underrepresented varietals and creating the region’s first custom crush facility. Her hands-on approach and deep expertise allow each bottle to express the vineyard’s unique character and terroir.

The estate includes a 3,647 sq ft home, privately situated apart from the tasting room. Built in 2004, the home features three bedrooms, two full and two half baths, and a 1,200+ sq ft garage with workshop space. Designed for comfort and function, the open floor plan includes vaulted ceilings, a rock fireplace with gravity pellet stove, a chef’s kitchen with granite counters and solid wood cabinetry, a formal dining room, office, wet bar, and spacious bonus room. The primary suite serves as a retreat with a luxurious bath and private wing, while guest rooms with walk-in closets share a Jack and Jill bathroom. Outdoor living includes a large covered patio, mature landscaping, a fenced garden, and a thriving orchard.

Apricity Vineyard represents more than wine—it reflects a way of life rooted in sustainability, community, and respect for the land. The owners are proud of what they’ve built and hope to pass it on to someone who shares their vision and values.
