Wolf Pen Gap ATV Rentals is an ATV Rental business that rents late model 3 seater and 6 seater Can Am Defender side x side ATV/UTV's. We pretty much fell into this business after buying the property and finding out that we were so close the the trails. It is a fun business in that you are working with really nice customers who are on vacation, not in a rush, and are appreciative of the help you are offering. For a multi-day rental we will deliver, otherwise most customers are here for a 1 or 1/2 day rental so they come here, park, and ride 2-3 minutes down the county road to enter the trails.
Since opening in March 2019, we have fine-tuned the booking, check-out process and miscellaneous forms. We sell fuel and other items such as T-shirts, snacks, ice, drinks, dust masks, goggles, ice cream, campfire wood and assorted grocery items since it is a 1 hour round trip to the nearest store. We provide paper maps and information about the Trail system and help them download useful apps and online maps. We offer promotional items as parting gifts. Customers get their choice of a pen, sticker or can cooler with our information on them to encourage repeat rentals. Our credit card company reports that our repeat customers are 65%.
The business is run from a 2180 sq ft residence, built in 1992 that has 3 bedrooms (one is the office), 2 1/2 baths, and a 2 car garage where customers check in and out. Home also has a breezeway area that is used for the business. The 1/2 bath is accessed from the outside for customer use. Home includes a pool and deck area and a hot tub, chicken coop and storage building. Also on the 6 1/2 acres is a 40'x60' shop, 24'x40' wash bay, carports, storm shelter, 3 water wells and 500 gallon fuel tank. Property borders the Ouachita National Forest on 2.5 sides.
