Chemical-free pest control DTC brand with $13.2M ttm sales and $2.65M
Business Description
Fast-scaling, high-margin pest-control brand, 80% gross margin, ~$2.65
Fast-scaling direct-to-consumer pest-control brand offering convenient, chemical-free electronic solutions for common household pest problems. Launched in August 2024, the business has generated $13.16M in TTM net sales and $2.65M in TTM Adjusted EBITDA through July 2026, representing approximately a 20% EBITDA margin and ~80% product-level gross margin. The business has scaled rapidly while maintaining a lean, founder-light operating structure and a highly outsourced execution model.
Markets:
The business primarily serves customers in the United States through its Shopify DTC storefront, which generates approximately 98% of gross sales. Amazon was launched approximately six weeks ago and is already scaling to an estimated $10K+ in daily sales, according to the founders. A Walmart marketplace presence is also under discussion, providing additional omnichannel expansion potential.
Marketing:
Customer acquisition is driven by a sophisticated direct-response paid-media engine, with Meta representing approximately 69% of advertising spend and Google contributing approximately 22%. The business invested approximately $7.66M in advertising during the TTM period, while additional channels including TikTok Shop, Microsoft, AppLovin and native advertising remain relatively underdeveloped.
Products:
The catalog currently contains five active SKUs centered around electronic, chemical-free pest-control solutions. The flagship indoor plug-in repeller generates more than 85% of sales, while an outdoor repeller stake provides a complementary solution for yards and gardens. Recently launched consumable products, including a flying-insect trap and rodent-repellent pouch, are designed to broaden the catalog and establish stronger recurring-purchase behavior.
Unit Economics:
AOV: ~$90
CAC: ~$60
Product-Level Gross Margin: ~80%
Return Rate: ~1.2%
The business combines a high-margin product model with disciplined acquisition economics. Additional upside exists through improved bundling, post-purchase offers, subscriptions and lifecycle marketing designed to increase customer lifetime value.
Financials:
TTM Net Sales: $13.16M
TTM Adjusted EBITDA: $2.65M
Adjusted EBITDA Margin: ~20%
Year-over-Year Net Sales Growth: ~428%
Year-over-Year Adjusted EBITDA Growth: ~354%
Approximate Most Recent Six-Month Annualized Net-Sales Run-Rate: $17.5M
The latest trading period indicates that the TTM results understate the current operating pace. Adjusted EBITDA increased from approximately $584K to $2.65M year-over-year, demonstrating substantial operating growth alongside revenue expansion.
Why was this business started?
The business was created to provide homeowners with a convenient alternative to traditional pest-control methods such as sprays, traps and chemical treatments. The founders focused on accessible electronic and chemical-free solutions within a large, recurring household-problem category, combining straightforward products with direct-response marketing.
Website link, P&L and full deck will be shared privately with qualified buyers with committed capital. SBA loans or acquisition financing will not be considered.

- Facilities & Assets
- PestLab is a direct-to-consumer pest control brand focused on convenient, easy-to-use pest prevention and repellent products for the U.S. market. Our core business has been built around electronic indoor and outdoor pest repellers, and we are progressively expanding into complementary pest-control products (subscription products). The majority of our historical revenue has been generated through our Shopify store, with Amazon becoming an increasingly meaningful sales channel.
- Opportunities for Growth
- For the next 12 months, we conservatively forecast approximately $25–30 million in revenue while maintaining around a 20% profit margin.
This forecast is based primarily on our current product portfolio and existing growth trajectory. We believe there is additional upside that is not included in this base case.
If our recently launched Mouse Pouch subscription scales successfully and our other new/subscription products perform well, we believe revenue could potentially reach approximately $50 million, although we would expect margins to be lower during that growth phase, in the 10–15% range due to heavier reinvestment in customer acquisition and expansion.
