The stores offer complete computer solutions by providing computer systems, hardware parts, and related upgrade and repair services. They build customized machines designed for any need, from basic computers and gaming systems to powerful workstations and servers. They are also a reseller of major brands for those customers who have specific requirements. They stock a wide variety of computer parts from accessories, adapters and cables to motherboards, processors and drives. They repair and upgrade all computer brands. They cater mostly to consumers, enthusiasts and small businesses; however, they do have a fair number of academic, government and corporate customers.

There are very few competitors that can do the custom system work they have done for decades.
Growth & Expansion:
Marketing is the key along with the willingness of the decision makers, whomever they may be, to understand that you need to spend marketing money to make more money. They must be committed to it and intent on doing it smartly. It has to start with Internet search engines, social media, the website and connecting them all together. This has to be dynamic and active. It would be best to have it done professionally by contracting part or most of it out. They need to become number one in local searches on all browsing engines for both general searches and sponsored ones. They need an active and busy Facebook page trying back to their website. They never used Twitter and that may have to change. A second less pressing step is to consider a makeover for the stores that ties into what is done online, a common new theme/look that projects a new image. It is not enough for customers to walk into a ‘no-frills just-get-it-done’ computer store. There must be a lasting first impression pushing all types of customers to commit to their stores, repeat their visit and spread the word. When all this is done, a consideration must be given to other targeted local advertising mediums (i.e. Cable TV, Radio).

New owners may bring in their own ideas along with new services and products. Possibly a new approach to handling customers, new offerings and sources of revenue. If the new owners are in the same business, the entire management and administrative group can be excluded and that is an immediate savings of close to $200K, making the company more profitable right off the bat. Nevertheless, whether it is a company expanding into our area or it is a group of individuals wanting to get into this business, they feel effective and modern marketing should be the first consideration.
