Business Description

The Business in 2017 reported sales of over 16M, the business operated until the end of August 2018 and due to market forces has shut down operations. The business manufactures cultured marble products for a variety of applications for sinks, vanity tops, bases, surrounds and accessories. For more than 35 years Imperial Marble has been the leading manufacturer of cultured marble and molded solid surface vanity tops, home, and bath products. The company has served the top kitchen and bath dealers, remodeler suppliers as well as the Hospitality, Hospital, Apartment & Condo, Military and School markets.

Early in their history, Imperial Marble was instrumental with introducing the beauty and the benefits of cultured marble to the retail market. Until recently, Imperial Marble had been the supplier of choice for the nation’s top hotel and motel chains, even as they continued to serve homeowners, decorators, and contractors with products of unsurpassed quality and beauty. Working from a 150,000 square foot facility in northern Illinois, Imperial continued to build on its reputation as leader and innovator; from Imperial insistence on stainless steel tooling to their ever-evolving product line to their sincere commitment to customer satisfaction.

All cultured marble is not created equal. Nor are the companies that manufacture it. That's why so many of the most discriminating homeowners, decorators, builders and hospitality industry professionals have choose products from Imperial. Imperial’s cultured marble products are more durable, versatile and beautiful than many other related options. It starts with the exclusive use of stainless-steel molds, which yield’s products with an uncommonly smooth, lustrous, non-porous surface. This surface helps Imperial products resist damage from common problems such as; thermal cracking, staining, scratches, and burns, resulting in a product that appears new for many years. Imperial’s vanity tops are thicker, and therefore more durable than any other cultured marble tops in the industry.

Imperial created a process that is far superior to the industry practice. The technological advancement that they pioneered resulted in the strongest product on the market. Twenty years ago, they created the technology for spray granite resulting in the Satin Stone line. They did this to offer their customers a solid-surface-like product without a solid surface price. They are also known for their unique veining process that yields a faux marble finish no one has ever been able to match. Plus, Imperial offered an extensive variety of product designs, all of which are available in over 65 different colors. Not only did Imperial deliver the combination of class, elegance and style that today's customers demand, all Imperial products met and exceeded interior design as well as architectural design standards. Imperial has also offered custom cuts and custom colors and sizes to fit specific design requirements. Imperial was positioned to be the consumers’ “only choice in cast polymer products” for the bath, home, hospitality, and construction industries.
