Business Description
Be your own boss and make your own schedule
Stuck in a 9-5 desk job with little to no visibility of the outside world? Afraid of going to jail for stabbing your boss or co-worker in the neck with a ballpoint pen? Deal with rush hour traffic to and from work? What if all of this could be avoided?

Why not be your own boss and determine your own schedule. I have not used an alarm clock to wake up for work since I started in 2018. I get to it when I get to it as long as the work gets done, that's all that matters. For the most part lawn care is mindless. You would freely have the ability to daydream or listen to podcasts/music without interfering with the job all while exercising, enjoying the outdoors, and absorbing vitamin D. Lawncare is low risk. It is necessary through a recession and is there is no end in site from AI takeover.

Mower for Less Lawn Care has been in business by as sole owner and operator since 2018. The business was purchased from a previously established lawn care entity with a 25 year history making it a 33 year legacy. Several original clients still request services to this very day. The current customer list is at 65 properties including 23 commercial accounts. There are approximately 15 or so other clients that request service when on vacation or have services performed intermittently throughout the season.

Current services performed by Mower for Less Lawn Care consist of residential/commercial mowing, aeration, overseeding, leaf control, sidewalk edging, garden maintenance, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, bush trimming, tree maintenance, stump grinding, mulch/river rock installation, yard waste/junk haul away. Before reducing the schedule to a 3-4 day work week Mower for Less Lawn Care also performed exterior mosquito/flea/tick control, turf treatments, backflow prevention testing, irrigation startup/shutdown, mole control, and fence repair.

The Mower for Less Lawn Care season currently starts mid to late March and continues through mid December. I take mid December to mid March off to travel and recharge for the next season. There is the option to plow snow as it is commonly requested by customers. The typical work week consists of three 8 hour days. The spring season generally requires a 4th and sometimes 5th day to complete spring cleanup and mulch installation.

The opportunities for growth are nearly endless. It is solely owned and operated by myself. I have the business situated to fit my lifestyle creating an equal balance of income and quality of life. I do not advertise nor have I ever advertised for my services. All expansion has been by word of mouth referrals. With the addition of advertising and an employee or two, the business would grow exponentially. I personally wanted to be accountable for all actions involved with the company so did not have interest in hiring employees.

If you have any questions I would be happy to discuss via email or in person. Sales matrix and expenses can be provided upon request. I have no interest in brokering the business.
