THE OPPORTUNITY

Florida generates roughly 22 million waste tires annually, third among US states. Whole tires cannot be landfilled, so every tire generated must reach a permitted processor — demand is structural, not discretionary.

Permitting is a genuine barrier to entry. A competitor cannot simply open in response to attractive margins; it requires state and county permitting, site control and financial assurance. Most permitted crumb rubber capacity in Florida sits in the center and north of the state, leaving the South Florida generation base structurally underserved. Tires are heavy and low in value per unit, so transport economics dominate — proximity to the point of generation is a durable, defensible advantage.

The facility is already permitted for, and positioned to move into, crumb rubber and recovered steel production, capturing several times the current value per tire from feedstock that is already arriving and already paid for. Engineering, equipment specification and vendor quotations are complete and transfer with the business.
