Majority or Full Sale of Mobile Golf Simulator Business
Business Description
Dryvebox Columbus is seeking a buyer for a 51% controlling interest in a turnkey mobile golf simulator franchise. The current owner is also open to selling a larger interest or completing a full acquisition depending on the buyer and transaction terms.
The business features a custom-built, solar-powered, climate-controlled simulator trailer equipped with TrackMan 4 technology. It also includes an indoor golf enclosure, allowing the business to operate at both indoor and outdoor venues throughout the year. With no permanent retail location or traditional commercial lease, the experience can be brought directly to corporate events, golf outings, weddings, trade shows, festivals, private parties, and instructional programs.
An experienced local operator is already in place. He is a Class A PGA Professional, knows the equipment and event process, and is expected to remain with the business following the ownership transition. This allows an incoming owner to focus primarily on sales, marketing, local relationship development, franchise calls, and overall business growth rather than personally operating every event.
The Columbus market offers significant room for expansion through corporate event teams, golf courses, private clubs, hotels, event planners, wedding venues, universities, festivals, and local businesses. Additional opportunities include recurring corporate programs, golf outings, instructional events, sponsorships, seasonal activations, and multi-event customer packages.
For a 51% acquisition, the incoming partner will lead local growth and day-to-day business development. The current owner will retain 49% and remain involved as a supportive, primarily passive strategic partner, with major and protected decisions addressed through the operating agreement.
The listed $190,000 commitment applies to the 51% ownership structure and includes $25,000 of funded working capital retained by the business at closing. This provides immediate operating runway and will support the business vehicle, insurance, sales activity, marketing, maintenance, and other operating needs.
The owner is also open to selling a larger ownership interest or the entire business. Pricing and transition terms for an ownership interest greater than 51% will be adjusted based on the percentage acquired and the proposed transaction structure. In a full acquisition, the current owner will provide an agreed transition period before exiting the business.
The owner relocated the business from Denver to Columbus and subsequently accepted a full-time job. Limited bandwidth has constrained local sales development, creating an opportunity for a new owner to grow an established and differentiated business within Columbus’s strong golf and corporate-events market.
Any transaction is subject to satisfactory diligence, definitive agreements, and required franchisor approval. Detailed financial information, asset documentation, franchise materials, and a complete opportunity packet are available to qualified prospects following an initial conversation and confidentiality agreement.

- Market Outlook / Competition
- Columbus has a strong golf community and a large base of corporate offices, event planners, golf courses, private clubs, universities, weddings, festivals, and community events.
Dryvebox differs from traditional indoor simulator businesses because it brings the experience directly to the customer. The business does not depend on customers visiting a fixed retail location and does not carry the overhead of a traditional simulator facility.
Its custom mobile trailer, TrackMan technology, solar capability, indoor enclosure, and PGA Professional operator create a differentiated offering that can serve both indoor and outdoor events. - Opportunities for Growth
- The primary growth opportunity is consistent local sales and relationship development. A new owner can build relationships with corporate event teams, hotels, event planners, golf courses, private clubs, wedding venues, universities, festivals, and local businesses.
Additional opportunities include recurring corporate programs, golf outings, instructional events, branded sponsorships, holiday parties, football-season events, Masters-related programming, competitions, and multi-event customer packages.
The business already has operating infrastructure, franchise support, brand materials, lead-management tools, equipment, and an experienced operator in place. Growth does not require constructing a new facility or waiting for a custom trailer build.
About the Sale
- Seller Motivation
- Seeking a growth partner or buyer due to limited bandwidth from a full-time job.
- Transition Support
- The business benefits from established Dryvebox operating systems, brand support, franchise resources, marketing materials, and operating knowledge.
A trained local operator is already in place and is also a Class A PGA Professional. He is expected to remain with the business following the ownership transition, subject to mutually agreed employment terms.
Under the 51% structure, the current owner will retain 49% and provide transition support, historical knowledge, strategic guidance, and assistance with major business decisions. If the buyer acquires the entire company, the current owner will provide an agreed transition period before exiting.
Required franchise training and ownership approval will be coordinated with Dryvebox.
