For almost 50 years, this business has been designing and manufacturing small metal sculptures depicting a wide variety of scenes, jobs, activities, and hobbies. At one point in time, these sculptures were sold all over the world. You have likely seen some of them in quite a number of gift and souvenir shops all over the country. There are several current customers who are ordering additional sculptures on a weekly basis. The founder of the Company passed away a number of years ago and the current owner inherited the operation. Over ten years ago, the Company was generating over $500,000 in annual revenues. Upon inheriting the business, the current owner passed the responsibility of managing it on to several other people, each in turn failed to maintain the historical profitability of the business. Sales are now beginning to grow again, and the Company is receiving large orders, however the Company is now facing capacity issues. The skilled welders that have been manufacturing these pieces over the years are beginning to have health issues and finding new welders to train is the biggest obstacle facing the Company. Currently they have two new welders in training and are beginning to implement an in-house accounting program (QuickBooks). The Company is beginning to show good growth again.
