Strick's LP Gas began in Pittsboro in 2019, just before the Pandemic. We thrived through 2020 and beyond to grow the business into what it is today. The storefront has been an essential part of our business through the years and we've become a very well known business in the area. Customers trust and rely on our expertise to point them in the right direction when it comes to propane needs, grills, and propane piping supplies.
Our storefront consists of filling propane grill tanks, 20# tanks, 30# tanks, up to 100# tanks. Sales of propane tanks. Sales of Wilmington Grill (made right here in NC). Sales of propane contractor supplies for setting and installing gas lines. We are one of the few places that contractors are able to get supplies without going to Raleigh, and we're the go-to place to fill propane tanks in Pittsboro.
Roughly 55% of the revenue is derived from the sale of propane tank fills, and the other 45% is derived from the sale of propane accessories, grill, gas line supplies, and other parts we have in our showroom.
The storefront can be run with a single person most of the time and is located in a great shopping center with a lot of other enticing businesses nearby.

There is a fenced in area along the side of the building that could house propane tanks or other equipment. A propane dispensing station with 500 gallon propane tank is included. All grills, parts, hoses, regulators, etc, for sale are brand new and ready to sell. Shelving and assets are in good condition. Storefront has a regular steady clientele, especially in the winter months. Excellent supplemental storefront for a summer seasonal business.

There is a town ordinance that prevents propane dispensing stations to be built unless the property is rezoned so the barrier to entry is higher than other businesses in the area. We have a strong hold on the small bottle filling market in and around Pittsboro.
