Market Outlook / Competition
The sign business has been taking a back seat to other priorities within the company. We have been gradually winding it down for the past 6 months due to the electrical contracting business taking priority. The equipment currently available for sale supports a $2M+ annual sales volume with the right team in place. Our operation is in the mid to high complexity job range, a limited number of installers in the Bay Area have our capabilities. We do not compete against ladder or small bucket jobs in strip malls - the more lucrative jobs with less competition are the more complex jobs or ones at height over 40'. Our sign division is an ideal purchase for an established sign company that wants to increase their fleet and capabilities, or someone with experience looking to go into business on their own. Owner or qualified member contractor license, expertise and oversignt are required.
Opportunities for Growth
We have never advertised besides having a basic website and some social media presence. Due to our length in business and reputation in the market, if we start sending in bids, business is coming in. Recurring service jobs are steady all year around although they tend to slow in the summer months. A job pipeline needs to be rebuilt but we have never had an issue with that, during our growth phase our limiting factors were manpower and equipment, not finding work.
