Business Description

This business is a premier outlet for pastured meats. “Pastured” is different from “free-range,” as free range could be free-range in an enclosure, or on a concrete slab. All of these animals are free-range, in a pasture, and raised without hormones or antibiotics. This is true sustainable farming.

The owner has a well-established reputation for high quality meats that people have come to expect from locally-raised, pastured animals. They have a client list of over 1,600 names, as well as booths at two separate farmer's markets.

Additional revenue could be derived from the sale of compost product that comes as a result of farming operations, as well as more animal product. Owner does all of the processing on their own and are limited only by the amount of processing they can do within the time allowed. Wholesale to restaurants is also a potential source of revenue.

Asking price does not include any real estate. A buyer would need to have 5-8 acres of land in order to maintain this business. Ideally, the land would be a mixture of sun and shade, otherwise pole barns would be required to shade the animals. This farm is home-based and relocatable. If you have some land and would like to earn money by contributing to the sustainable farming movement, then this is the opportunity for you!
