More competition than ever with PSP our top competitor. However we have won The Best of, Pet Groomer category in Solano County through local paper, The Reporter every year since 2008. We have self employed groomers and run the salon as a referral business to those groomers and charge a per dog fee for every dog groomed in the salon with an average of 175-225 dogs per week.
Opportunities for Growth
We currently have room for a few more groomers and the potential to turn the salon into a grooming academy would be a very lucrative business model. Current owner could help with setting that up with the new owner for an agreed upon consultation fee and project period.
Salon capacity would be closer to 300 dogs per week, so we are currently at 60-75% capacity, so lots of room for growth. Even with 20 groomers, the highest we ever got was about 270 dogs per week. So lots of room for growth.
