- Market Outlook / Competition
- Full size rental vehicles has seen cost of acquisition increase to unreasonable levels. Jeep Wrangler used to cost us approx $40k, now cost $57k. Resale of Jeep Wranglers has not markedly increase to cash depreciation costs have increaded from $200 per car per month to now $800. Reduced fleet and buying jeeps from auctions rather than new Jeeps helps mitigate the changes. Fortunately we have an extensive bases of repeat customers, and are highly promoted by local concierges. Golf Cart business is seeing tremendous growth.
- Opportunities for Growth
- Gollf cart sales, rentals, and service business is growing rapidly. Retail and Fleet sales seem to have no limits. There is only 1 other golf cart dealer on the island. There are too many other golf cart renters to count. City based golf cart renters are limited by medallion requirements.
Possible expansion into airport, though airport director is not trustworthy in my experience.
Auto repair business requires no advertising. There is very limited competition on the Island of key west due to space limitations.
