Business Description

Founded 21 years ago, Crowning Touch has successfully developed a recession resistant, vertically integrated company that captures every dollar associated with a senior who is moving. We not only pack, move and unpack but we sell everything the family no longer wants in either our consignment shop or auction house. Then we split the proceeds with them 50/50. We sell their cars, boats, tools, outdoor furniture, jewelry, large and small appliances, bedroom,, dining and living room furniture, lamps, rugs and art. Then we clean the house and sell it as well through our real estate division, utilizing our own broker. So with one visit for a free estimate, we identify all the services the family needs and meet those needs by virtue of our 4 different profit centers. We trump the competition every time because we are so user friendly. We are a one stop shop for any senior planning a move. Our a la carte menu serves an enormous demographic whose needs are not currently being met by any other single entity such as ours. There is absolutely no direct competition, just a patchwork of service companies that must be stiched together by family to get the job done for downsizing parents. Our corporate culture is reflected in the respect and love we show our senior clients. There is nothing we won't do for them. We find homes for pets and plants, reconnect all the electronics, hang pictures and mirrors, and generally stand in for family in every way possible. Please visit our extensive website to view videos of Crowning Touch in operation, at www.CrowningTouchUSA.com, and click on the Franchise tab.

Our auction house, an exciting profit center, is the only one in Virginia with no auctioneer. We pioneered our own hybridized monthly auction system featuring proprietary software we wrote ourselves, allowing us to handle tremendous volume, equivalent to 4 auctions in one. There is no other auction like ours in America that we are aware of. Everything is trademarked and copyright protected. The retail component of our business is half our revenue and may easily be more once we scale up in cities of 1 million plus. This puts a much more profitable spin on a traditional moving company concept. And no seasonal layoffs for our employees, which is another common problem for moving companies.

Our proven concept forms the basis for expansion into other cities. Every major city in America needs a Crowning Touch to meet the needs of the tsunami of Boomers coming at us.
The FDD and Franchise Agreement, necessary for franchising, are already done. We are currently licensed to sell in Florida , which represents a huge expansion opportunity. Our plan is to develop the southeastern market initially.

In short, we are poised to accept the right business partner that not only wants to own the mother ship, but has a desire to expand the concept.

(Additional storage space is leased as needed).
Market Outlook/
Boomers coming of age over the next 20 plus years, already adding to the existing "Greatest Generation", guarantees swelling market potential. And while there are senior move managers, real estate agents, moving companies, auction houses and consignment shops, there is no other single resource under one brand that can handle so seamlessly all the confusing details for a senior that is downsizing. A Crowning Touch in any city will experience the benefit of free marketing and promotion from the senior lifestyle communities, anxious to ease the transition for potential residents. Marketing directors are constantly requesting that we replenish our marketing material when they run out. They consistently recommend us, as do realtors. When a realtor sells a home for a senior, the project of getting the senior out in time for the closing is overwhelming, so all of our local realtors promote and refer us. Trust attorneys call us constantly. And most important, the children of our senior clients find us on line and contact us, begging us to help them, especially as most of them live 200 or more miles away from their parents, and can only offer limited help. There is no moving company in America that offers a plan to offset the cost of a move by selling the assets seniors no longer want, so we close over 90% of the estimates we make because of the weak competition. Our advertising budget is minimal now after 20 years and the phone still rings off the hook.
