Vertically Integrated Building Products Statewide Distributor
Business Description
Long-established Alaska manufacturer and distributor of durable metal and wood building products used in residential, commercial, and agricultural construction. The Company both manufactures product in state, fabrication, and welding and distributes a broader catalog sourced from domestic and international suppliers, selling to homeowners, specialty contractors, and general contractors across the state.
That combination is the core of the business. Because finished product is made here rather than barged in, the Company competes on freight cost, lead time, and local availability against out of-state suppliers, while pricing competitively against big box retail. Customers who need material this week, in this market, have a limited number of places to get it.
The financial story is one of a completed build out now paying off. The owners
invested in manufacturing capacity in prior years; as that capacity came online,
production absorbed work that had previously been bought in, and earnings followed.
Seller Discretionary Earnings grew more than fivefold over the three years through FY2025, reaching $994,297 on revenue of $2.87M a 38% revenue increase over the same period. Figures are drawn from normalized statements prepared from filed tax returns,
and 2026 has continued the trend: through mid-July, revenue is up 7% year over year and net income is up 142%.
Included in the $5,500,000 asking price are approximately $800,000 of inventory and the full complement of production equipment a meaningful share of the price is hard assets a buyer can see, count, and finance against, not goodwill alone.
The owners are retiring and will stay through a substantial transition. The operation runs on an experienced six-person team, has no pending litigation, liens, or claims, and the facility is available to lease or buy from the sellers so a buyer takes over in place with no relocation and no interruption.
A full Confidential Information Memorandum with detailed financials is available to qualified buyers upon an executed non-disclosure agreement.
