Wild Expeditions is a fully established, highly reputable adventure tour company based in Bluff, Utah near Bears Ears National Monument and the San Juan River. This turnkey business specializes in guided San Juan River Trips, 4x4 Tours, Hiking and cultural expeditions through some of the most iconic and protected landscapes in the country. Wild Expeditions is a respected brand with proven operating systems and a loyal customer base. Wild Expeditions is the largest outfitter in the region and has a preferred partnership with Bluff Dwellings Resort & Spa.

- Market Outlook / Competition
- Bluff is a tourist destination on the edge of Bears Ears National Monument and the San Juan River. The town is approximately 250 residents near the Navajo Reservation. Wild Expeditions is the longest standing outfitter in the region and the highest number of use on the San Juan and throughout Bears Ears National Monument. There are an additional 10-12 outfitters on the San Juan and a moratorium on any new additional permits.
- Opportunities for Growth
- Rentals and Shuttles for Private Groups on the San Juan. Owners built Bluff Dwellings Resort and were stretched too thin to be retreiving renters rafts and belongings, but was an additional $75k-$100k in revenue until we stopped in 2023. Current use of permits is less than 20% of allowed use so plenty of room for growth. Retail sales is another area of growth available.
We have become too busy to focus on growing Wild Expeditions, but we hope to sell to someone that we can continue to partner with our other hospitality businesses.
