World Renowned Niche Cabinetry Mfr, PA
Business Description
Turnkey Mfr. for Sale, PA
This small, well-established cabinetry manufacturing company has been in business since 1991 and was purchased by its present owner in 2015. It has a stellar reputation in its markets as high quality, very aesthetically pleasing, and ergonomic for many hours of continuous use as well as other critical features.
It is vertically integrated with nearly all parts made in house with the exception of small metal parts and hardware. Most vendors are local and lead times are usually within about a week. Some vendors take up to four weeks to supply parts. Incoming raw materials to packaging and shipping and all processes in between are all performed in-house. Replacement parts and hardware are readily available for customers to purchase which improves customer satisfaction.
With its six product lines for mid level entry to high end customers, it is well positioned to serve many markets and a few adjacent ones both domestically and internationally. Sales channels include domestic dealers, architects, designers, installers, direct, web sales, and an international distributor and dealer network.
The facility is laid out with the concept of reducing the number of (walking) steps in each cell and between cells from the beginning of the process all the way through the bundling, packaging, and shipping area. Only in one area is a second person needed for about an hour for lay-ups and five minutes to load the CNC table. All other areas can be performed by a single person. In a few cases, two people make the process synergistically faster. (The man-hours for this process is reduced by about 30% with two people.) There are detailed work instructions for each product including CNC programs, handwork, hardware lists, and much more.
Because of its few local customers, this company can be relocated without any impact to markets and sales.
The owner firmly believes in this company and its position to grow and thrive with additional advertising and marketing, website improvements, and attending more trade shows. The sale includes all trademarks, customer lists, manufacturing information, designs, some owner's time for training and transition, all fixed assets and inventory, furniture, IT infrastructure, etc.
