We have a laundromat in Northern California Santa Cruz County we would like to sell. We have had it for almost 5 years and it is doing well. We have received a lease extension and done a lot of work, there is growth opportunity to do more upgrades and add newer machines. We do not have the turns figured out or any of the jargon lots of laundromat owners use.

It is 1900 sq ft with large folding tables, dexter and maytag machines. We have installed tanger pay for mobile pay and we have coins. We have painted, installed a vending machine, installed cameras, and we have coded bathroom access. And we have tables and chairs. People get comfy.

We have an employee who comes every night to clean and lock up. He also comes 4 days a week during the afternoon to clean up. Our landlords are easy to work with leave us alone. We have a bookkeeper to do payroll.

Our clientele appreciates the cash option as well as mobile pay, they come from all reaches of the county for space and cleanliness. They also like to be left alone so a full time attendant may not be welcome. They have told us other laundromats are dirty, credit card only or just not taken care of.

We would like to travel and it is best if the owner lives within a hour radias or has a partner. It is partially unattended and may support an attendant but we have not gone that route.

This is not a passive income that it is promised to be by tik tokers, the laundromat needs to be touched 2-3 times a week. We are looking for a buyer that either has a laundromat now, and understands the business. We had a buyer circling but he disappeared when he found out it is not as passive as promised.
