Nearly every American drives, and together, we log about 3.3 trillion miles per year. With vehicles being kept longer than ever—an average of 12.6 years in 2024, and 23% of all vehicles now 20 years or older—routine maintenance has never been more critical.
In 2025, over 307 million vehicles are expected to be on U.S. roads—and more than 90% of them will still need regular oil changes. While EVs continue to gain traction, their impact on the overall market remains steady but gradual. Gas-powered vehicles still dominate, largely due to the long lifespan of existing cars. Even by 2050, projections show that most vehicles in operation will still rely on gas.
At Grease Monkey, we’re staying ahead of the curve. If EVs ever do take the lead, we’ll be ready. Although they don’t require engine oil, they still need tires, brake fluid, coolant, cabin air filters, brake pads, batteries, and other routine maintenance.
